Whether you’re meeting us virtually or in person, your appointment with Canada Notary – Notary Public North York will be smooth, secure, and efficient. The virtual notary process closely mirrors an in-person meeting, with the only difference being that communication occurs online, eliminating the need for physical interaction. Here’s a brief overview of what to expect:
Send your unsigned documents to notary@canadanotary.ca
In the same email, attach a selfie of yourself holding a valid photo identification to verify your identity and signature. Also, include any special instructions for the notary public and your availability for signing, along with the required turnaround time. You may also provide your mailing address if you need a hard copy.
Send a $35 email transfer payment to notary@canadanotary.ca. The notary public will inform you via email if there are any additional charges for multiple notaries or other services.
After signing the documents through HelloSign, the notarized PDF document with an audit trail and timestamp will be sent to you. Your original hard copy will also be mailed out to you.
We follow the Law Society of Ontario’s guidelines regarding remote and virtual signing under the Commissioners for Taking Affidavits Act and the witnessing of wills under the Succession Law Reform Act, provided all required conditions are met. Online notary services are not permitted under the Notaries Act. Contact us for more information or to determine if your matter qualifies.

To qualify for the 15% notary discount, eligible individuals must provide valid proof. Full-time students are required to present a valid student ID along with proof of current full-time enrollment. Seniors must be 65 years of age or older and show government-issued ID for age verification. Those receiving social assistance must provide official documentation from either Ontario Works or the Ontario Disability Support Program (ODSP). Canadian military personnel must present valid military identification. All submitted documentation must be current and verifiable. Canada Notary reserves the right to decline the discount if sufficient proof is not provided.
