Yes — for most everyday documents. Alberta recognizes the swearing and commissioning of affidavits and declarations by video conference, and has made remote signing permanent for several categories of documents, including Land Titles documents and certain estate-planning documents under the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act, 2024.
Yes. Every Alberta appointment is handled by a notary public who is licensed and authorized to practise in Alberta. We do not route AB documents to notaries from other provinces.
Your first document is $35. Documents 2 to 5 are $15 each, and from the 6th document onward it's only $10 each — all in the same appointment. All prices are plus HST. You'll see your total before you pay.
Most appointments take 10–15 minutes. Once the call ends, your digitally sealed document is typically emailed to you shortly afterwards.

Online notarization is accepted for most affidavits, declarations and letters. Some receiving institutions have their own rules, so if you're unsure, send us their requirements and we'll confirm before you book.
