Don’t let “legalese” slow you down. We’ll write it for you. Sometimes, you know what you need to say, but you aren’t sure how to say it in a way that satisfies the courts or government agencies. A poorly written affidavit can lead to rejections, delays, and wasted fees.
At Canada Notary, we offer professional Document Drafting Services. Whether you need a simple affidavit for a lost passport, a letter of invitation for a visa, or a statutory declaration for a professional license, our experienced team will draft a clear, legally sound document for you to sign and notarize on the spot.
Document Drafting means we take your specific facts and turn them into a formal legal document. Instead of struggling with templates or blank pages, you provide us with the details (names, dates, events), and we structure them into the correct legal format (e.g., Form 4C Affidavit, Statutory Declaration) ready for commissioning.
Note: We draft documents based on your instructions. We do not provide legal advice or strategy.
We can create custom drafts for almost any standard legal requirement:
Affidavit of Identity: Used when you have lost your ID or need to confirm your identity for an institution.
Affidavit for Lost Documents: For lost passports, citizenship cards, or permanent resident cards.
Affidavit of Service: Proving that you delivered legal documents to another party (often for Family Court).
Common Law Declaration: A formal statement confirming your relationship status for insurance, CRA, or immigration purposes.
Sole Support Parent Affidavit: Often required for OSAP or school enrollment.
Visa Invitation Letters: A formal letter inviting family members to visit Canada, meeting all IRCC requirements.
Consent to Travel Letters: A comprehensive permission letter for children traveling abroad, covering all border security details.
Letter of Explanation: Clarifying discrepancies in names or dates for government applications.
When you book your appointment (or walk in), explain what document you need.
We will ask you specific questions (Who? What? When? Where?). You must provide accurate and truthful information.
Our team types up the document using professional legal templates and language.
You read the draft to ensure all facts are 100% correct.
Once approved, you swear an oath that the contents are true, sign it, and we apply our Notary seal.
We format your information into a legal document. We ensure it looks professional and includes the necessary jurats (legal signing blocks).
We are not lawyers and cannot give legal advice. We cannot tell you what you should say to win a court case, nor can we draft complex legal pleadings, Wills, or separation agreements. For those, please consult a lawyer.
Drafting fees are in addition to the standard notarization fee. Prices vary depending on the complexity of the document (e.g., a simple 1-page affidavit is cheaper than a complex travel letter). Please Contact Us for a quote.

No. Drafting a Will constitutes "practicing law." We can only Witness/Notarize a Will that you have already written yourself or had a lawyer prepare.
